Impact of cardiac disorders on renal function tests and serum electrolytes in Sudanese patients with acute myocardial infarction

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is the most serious clinical manifestation of coronary artery disease leading to irreversible heart necrosis due prolonged ischemia. From being an illness prevalent predominantly in developed countries, AMI now becoming increasingly more common developing countries. The study aims estimate renal function test and serum electrolytes acute patients reflect effect on function. Case control conducted at Cardiac center, Wad Medani, Gezira State, from September 2017 February 2021. A total three hundred forty blood samples were collected, one seventy patient health group. Data collected by questionnaire analyzed using SPSS version (21). 170 with chest pain (100%), positive Troponin I (100%) had not pervious history for enrolled this study, majority whom are male (67%), their age over 60 (51%), them have chronic diseases such as hypertension (68.2%) diabetes (64%). levels urea, creatinine urea / ratio significantly increased when compared group P.value (0.000), while Sodium concentration was decreased (0.005). On other hand, level Potassium significant deferent between Non healthy individuals. Also moderate correlation Creatinine, potassium Creatinine ratio, whereas it a negative weak sodium. Inconclusion Infarction affected functions which lead decrease clearance body metabolism waste ability reabsorbed
